DECISION OF THE TWELVE CBAK GOVERNING BOARD MEETING
August 30, 2007 - On the course of its meeting held on the Thursday
August 30th, 2007 the Governing Board of the Central banking
Authority of Kosovo (CBAK), decided to grant branch licenses to:
1.
Banka
Kombetare Tregtare (BKT) and,
2.
Komercijalna Banka (KM)
BKT and KM were already given a preliminary license last year by
unanimous decision of the CBAK Governing Board. Both banks comply
with the regulatory requirements set up by the Regulations and Rules
applicable in Kosovo. They will be submitted to the control of CBAK
regarding their activities in Kosovo. The European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development is a shareholder in both of the banks
and intend to expand step-by-step their activities in Kosovo.
In addition to the above, CBAK Governing Board took the following
other decisions:

Approval of the proposal on amendments of the UMIK Regulation
No. 1999/21 On Bank Licensing, Supervision and Regulation
o
Approval of Banking Rule No.11 on Reporting Requirements,
o
Approval of banking Rule No. 17 on Liquidity Requirements
o
Approval of Revocation of CBAK Supplementary Pension Fund
